Picky eater tips anyone?
I apologize for not responding sooner, as I said, my schedule is VERY limited. First of all, thanks for so much support. Secondly, let me clarify a bit on my previous post. I don't have a problem eating veggies or fruits I like them very much. The main issue is that they only fill you up for a short period of time and tend to be somewhat unsatisfying when they become your go-to snack every day. Salads are fine, but again get boring. My trouble lies with including enough flavor and variety in my diet, while staying healthy. Most healthy recipes I have come across use fruits and spices to flavor meat and salad dishes, or use nuts of some sort to add protien and change textures. I don't like mixing sweet and salty/spicy and don't care for nuts so I have been looking for healthy snack ideas that both me and the kids can enjoy. To answer k8yk: As I track my dieting habits on my phone app I do see a lack of protien. I'm not a big fan of cheese, but I do not dislike it. I can't force myself to eat cottage cheese or yogurt.

Picky eater tips anyone?
First of all, I am new to FatSecret and look forward to no longer being on my own with my weight struggle. Hopefully you guys can help me out, so here goes.
OK, now I know that part of eating healthy is to just suck it up and make the changes, but I can't help what I just don't like. I'm not big on salads at all; wish I was allergic to nuts, cause I just can't stand them; absolutely refuse to eat meats and fruits together; and don't like cottage cheese or yogurt. I guess those are my biggest obstacles seeing as how those are the things it seems most snacks and meal plans center around. I really want to eat healthier foods and get in shape. I work out 6 days/wk for about an hour/day alternating cardio and weight training days. Does anyone have some good substitutions or suggestions for me?
Side notes:
-I have 4 kids of varying ages so kid friendly ideas would be twice as helpful.
-I do like most fruits and veggies, raw and cooked.
-My budget is pretty average, but my time is extremely limited.
