I'm Suzie, currently 23
I'm having a fancy dress for my birthday, the costume I've set my heart on comes in size 8-10 or 12-14 normally I'd say 12-14 for a bit of extra room but there was too much room sooo I gotta get toned up and slimlined for the 8-10... got about 5months in which to do it though
Also I am trying to join the T.A, only reason I am not in at the moment is because I failed to do the 1.5mile run in 14minutes
I will give it another go, I have the determination but I'm lacking on the motivation to actually go on the street running as I prefer the cosy safe enviroment of pounding the treadmill rather than the pavements.


Sod all that...
I'm 24 now and obsessed with Wii Fit Plus been on it every day since I got it four days ago, aim to keep it up as well as running and training for the T.A

low carb protein shakes
I'm from the UK as well.
I use Promax shakes, available from the website maximuscle.com or from any Fitness First.
They do large tubs of whey protein in powder form which can be mixed with water or milk.
Personally I mix it with water, have a shake for breakfast because like you I'm not a breakfast person and then have a Promax bar or two during the day as snacks, plus use the shakes for recovery after a workout.

Drinking ice water helps you burn some calories!
ok
sooo... my two litre bottle of water I carry around starts off ice cold but by the end of the day is room temperature
meanin although it would reduce my water retention it would do nothing for increasin the calories I burn???

Birth Control Pills and Weight Gain
I've had two different pills due to the effect on my blood pressure, but now have the implant instead due to lifestyle changes which mean I started forgetting my pills...
Was told I may have an increased appetite but can't say it was definately the contraception that caused my weight gain, especially since I was previously on it for five years
Apparently the change in hormone levels is most likely to cause depression if anything... therefore gotta agree that it's a load of crap that contraception and weight gain are linked
