I'm a 48 year old school teacher that likes to live young! I have a huge group of friends that I hang out with, but I am the oldest one in the group . . . and the heaviest. Nobody ever makes me feel bad about my weight, but they don't need to. I feel horrible. It prevents me from doing a lot of really fun things because I am embarrassed of my body. This year I plan to get rid of this excess weight (AGAIN) and have a fantastic summer filled with pool parties, camping, beach houses, and parties! I know I can do it! And, for once, I want to KEEP it off by making healthier eating a lifestyle, not just a diet.

I've been on Fat Secret before and lost quite a bit of weight. Originally, I started out at 177 lbs, and lost down to 160 (goal is 135). Then I started playing so much in summertime that I completely fell off the wagon. After that I gained back more than where I started! I am starting over on my "diet" at 184.5 lbs. Ugh.

Starting weight Jan. 4, 2010 - 184.5
Ten pounds weight loss reached on - 174 Wooo hooo!
Intermediate goal - 20 lbs - met!
At 40 lbs lost - $300 to spend on clothing
At 50 lbs lost (goal) - A trip to Vegas, baby!!

Let the games begin!

Oh, and did I say I LOVE Las Vegas and Texas Hold 'Em Poker?

Running
I just started the couch-to-5k plan and, so far, I love it! Of course, I'm only on week 2, so . . . we'll see. It's amazing have quickly I am improving! I can't wait to sign up for my first 5k!

Putting the fun in Running
I am bored by running, too, but I have such a desire to like it! Right now I'm only running 30 mins at a time and I'm bored! Afterward, though, I feel FANTASTIC.

My daughter runs marathons, and my girlfriend and I have been *training* for a 5k (the couch to 5k program). My gf asked my daughter what she thinks about when she's running and the answer astounded us . . . she's thinking the exact same thing both of us are! "When can I stop?" I thought since she can run long distances without stopping that she would be in a completely different mind set. It made me feel a little better. Smile
