low energy or drive
I have to say that I've been having really low energy lately too and having trouble keeping myself motivated. A big change in my workout routine was exactly what I needed. I set a goal for myself that I normally would never have wanted to do... which was, start training to run, and eventually training to run a 5K. So, I went out and got a treadmill. Before that, I was working out with my Wii. Initially, I lost all my weight (like 40lbs!) using my Wii EA Active workouts... but after doing that for over a year, even all three games, I was SUPER bored. Nothing on there motivated me. I bought a Jillian Michaels DVD - did it a few times, wasn't doin' it for me. Bought Zumba. Bought a bunch of other stuff that just did not keep my motivation up...
But setting the goal and getting the treadmill, that has worked strong so far for 2 weeks and I'm looking forward to continuing. Maybe you just need a radical change or a "grand goal" that you can set for yourself to change up your workout!

Is it okay to blow a day?
So... I guess I want to ask a bunch of other dieters... is it okay to completely and utterly blow a day with calories? Like... I eat about 1380 calories per day, I am training to start running so I do that about 4x a week... but I want to know, is it okay to blow a day? What if I ate like... 3000 calories one day? It's not that hard, pretend I had a milkshake with a fast food meal, then ate candy, cookies and nutella all day long. And to top it off, lets say on that day, I didn't do any exercise except for trying to hit my 10000 steps a day goal.
If I get back on the horse the next day, eating 1380 calories, running/walking or doing other exercises... is it going to hurt me? Should I eat my low calorie goal for like... months before I do something like that? Get my body into the routine more and then worry about blowing a day? I'm really only about 2 weeks into being back on track so I'm not like planning on blowing a day badly any time soon, sometimes I go over my calories but usually not by more than 100.
Once in a while I just want to be able to indulge in something like a pizza and ice cream or candy, but I don't want to really throw myself off. So my will power should be good to get back on track, but will my body rebel from something like that?
I will say that food seems to be my main issue with gaining and losing weight, not so much exercise.
Just looking for input or opinions! Thanks.

Looking for buddies to help and support :)
Feel free to send a buddy request. I'm still "gearing up" on this page, trying to get better about posting journals and in the group I joined... and then also checking forums and trying to check buddies journals to lend them support... sheesh, it can be a lot of work but ya know what? It's so much better than dieting alone... I love talking to you all!

Looking for buddies to help and support :)
I'm so glad to hear from you all... I mean, ugh - trying to diet alone is a real challenge... there's no little voices in my head telling me not to NOT eat something... but I feel a bit responsible when I have friends on a site like this, like, I don't want to let anyone down! So I know we can push each other...
Sweet- It's really hard to have a wake up call like that but I know a few people who actually had some similar situations... sometimes it really takes a kick in the butt to get motivated, but I know you can do it!!

Someone like me
Hi there! I feel like we're similar, I'm 28 and need to lose like ~15... I was down before, like... I lost a total of 50, but came back up so, can't have that... I have just started to train to begin running but I'm really a terrible runner... so... I try to stay motivated!
Hope you can too but from your picture you look very in shape so good job!
