Goodbye sugar
No visible difference yet but your heart will thank you!

Heart disease can be caused by being overweight. The major risks are high levels of triglycerides (fat in the blood), cholesterol, elevated blood pressure, stress and lack of exercise. Obesity causes an excess of insulin in the system, which raises blood pressure and blood pressure is controled with medication but best controlled by you with eating the right foods and losing weight. Remove all sodium from your diet and also sugar. Sugar raises blood pressure. Sugar can produce a significant rise in triglycerides. Sugar can produce an acidic digestive tract. Sugar can increase cholesterol. Sugar can damage the pancreas, the heart, the kidney. Sugar promotes excessive food intake in obese people. I always say Why worry about being killed by terrorists when Sugar can kill you 1st.

If you consider sugar as poison, maybe you will start losing weight faster and become a healthier person.

Yes I agree keep your blood sugar balanced and you will lose weight. If you crave sweets, it could be a sign that you consume too much salt.
Eating too much salt boosts the production insulin, the hormone that tells the body to store fat. The more insulin you have, the more fat is stored and the more weight you gain.

If pounds aren't coming off salt may be sabotaging your effort to lose weight. Try to eat 1,000MG of salt or less per day and see the pounds start coming off once again. Cumin revs weight loss, so substitute cumin for salt.

Pure Health
The Archives of Internal Medicine showed that a Chinese study proved a 46% to 65% reduction in hypertension risk in regular consumers of oolong or green tea, compared to non-consumers of tea.

Black tea is bursting with health-promoting antioxidants, however if you are on blood thinning meds it could interfere with the meds....Talk to you doctor first. Trader Joe's has Kettle Brewed UNSWEETENED black tea I aa gallon.Drinking black tea could help you to burn your fat and speed up your metabolism.

Drinking tea also could help to expand arteries, so as to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Green tea has the ability to help diabetics break down glucose and lower blood glucose levels

Drinking chamomile tea daily with meals may help prevent the complications of diabetes, which include loss of vision, nerve damage, and kidney damage, researchers in Japan and the United Kingdom are reporting.

Chamomile Tea helps the body break down sugars before it can build up in your bloodstream...says Robert Nash Ph.D and lead scientist.

Please note that all tea contains flavonoids, which act as antioxidants that help protect the cells of the body against damage caused by free radicals and inhibits inflammation.

Enjoy tea...Drink 3 cups of tea daily to lower cholesterol.

Is fruit bad
Dried fruits are just concentrated sugar!

Pears are a low-carb fruit..100 calories in a medium pear and 15 carbs & have Fiber and are recommended even to diabetics to balance blood sugar.

Blueberries have 62 calories and 16 grams of carbs
Tart cherries have 59 calories and 14 grams of carbs
An apricot has just 17 calories and 4 grams of carbs
Apple 54 calories and 14 carb grams
Orange 15 grams of carbs and 62 calories
One large kiwi has about 56 calories and 13 grams of carbs
One medium plum has about 7.54 grams of carbs.

1 med banana is 105 calories and has almost 27 carbs...and the longer a banana sit around the more sugar it has.
A cup of red or green grapes seedless have about 27 grams of carbs

Fruit is not bad, however low glycemic fruits can assist in weight loss.

Is fruit bad
Instead of the grapes try eating low carb fruits such as apples, pears, peaches, plums, kiwi, Cherries and any kind of berries....

Berries have the least impact on blood sugar...No Bananas! The longer your bananas sit around, the more likely they will be to give you a sugar surge and a headache since the sugar increases in the banana as they ripen. Stick with berries. 4 Grapes give me a sugar surge or 10 points

Avoid high glycemic foods--soda, processed carbs, sugar, etc., they just raise your insulin levels which makes your body want to hold onto fat.

Need advise
I am not on Atkins but I do eat low carb....and was successful in losing 98lbs and now maintaining....

I would switch to eating egg whites...ALL WHITES are fluffy, and scramble with green peppers, onion, or broccoli.

I would switch from the Splenda to Stevia....Besides tasting good, stevia has no calories, a zero glycemic index (meaning it has no carbs), no artificial ingredients, and no effect on blood sugar. You see...Sucralose is an artificial sweetener. The majority of ingested sucralose is not broken down by the body and can raise blood sugar in some people. It is actually SPLENDA.....The insulin hormone is responsible for fat storage in the body
