I've been trying to lose wight for a long time a finally tried Nutrisystem. that's when the weight loss began. I can't afford them any me so I am doing this on my owm. I try to stay within the same guidlines that Nutrisystem taught me and that'swhat been helpimg me. My foal is to get down to 140 even though it says 145 on my weight goal Bio. I may be able to do it since I've been steadily doing vey well since I joined this site.
I'm getting married June 30th and that is why I've been trying to lose the wight.

Almost at goal weight
But no one really notices the weight loss. Isn't this discouraging to people? It is to me! I notice it because i look in the mirror and aee the diference but, I had family and friends over for Easter the other day and really only one person noticed. I am really shocked!

When I got on the scale this morning I was so happy to see that I had lost more weight. I am almost at my goal. This is so exciting! I may even try to get down further if I can. We'll see.

Hope everyone else is doing as well.

How are people going to cope with the upcoming holidays?
I think people who are actually hosting the holidays have extra challenges.
I know that's how it feels to me.

My Recipe ideas
One of the things that I'm doing that's keeping my diet plan successful is that I've created this Fish recipe that is made with Cod and veggies. I put everything into tin foil and broil it for 25 minutes. It comes out real good every time and is so healthy for you. I ALSO have another dish that I put together that should be just as low that I will be submitting. It containes 2 pieces of chicken breast and some kind of frozen veggies that you stir up in a fring pan.
You season the chicken with salt pepper garlic powder and oregano and place in a frying pan with a pat of butter. You cook the chicken until it starts to get brown on both sides and then add your veggies. I used the peas and carrots frozen veggies the last time and it came out awesome. Just put veggies in the pan while chicken is cooking and season with salt and pepper. You have a tasty satisfying meal.
I love creating recipes, especially when it comes to healthy ones. Have fun with it and create some great healthy recipes!

Dieting alone
Alot of what we're eating is over the top anyways. We need to cut down on the amount of meat we eat as well. Veggies are fine, whether they are cooked or raw. But most meat contains alot of fat in it already. My suggestion is for you to cook for yourself as others have said but also include alot of good healthy fruits as well. No pastas breads or cheeses unless they are lower in fat and calories. That helps to reduce the amount of caloric intake. Also include excercise in your daily routine whenever you can. The more excercise the better, your body will thank you for it. Keeping track of your calories on a daily basis is also what helps keep me on track. Good luck!
