It's almost been a year since I started this weight loss journey. It's been a long slow learning process, but I knew from the beginning that it would be the last "diet" I would ever start. My whole adult life I had been starting over every time I failed a diet. But on October 28th of 2009 I decided I was starting over for the last time. I was no longer going to start fresh on Monday or wait until after the holidays. I was just going to continue the same diet which I now call...well, I don't really have anything fancy to call it, healthy eating or healthy lifestyle? The truth is that there is no name for it other than normal, the way we are designed to nourish and condition our bodies. Every time I strayed from what was good for me, whether it be for one day or four months, I was not going to beat myself up or feel that my hard work was ruined. I simply just continued on. Positive thought has really helped me through so much. This is one big journey, through the good, the bad, and the ugly. I just try to focus on taking care of myself physically and emotionally and that means dealing with my addiction to food and self sabotaging behaviors. This last year has been more off days then on, but I'm chuggin' along. I've still managed to loss 30lbs. I went from 300 to 270. My motovation is to live a long robust life! I am including this program into my routine because I just got a new Blackberry today and want to add this app to my phone and upgrade from the Excel spreadsheet I had been using to track my food journal and progress. I am very excited to use this and be able to take it on the go. Well, here I go!
