Hey Fatsecret Buddies,

I figured it was about that time to update my bio so here goes...

My name is Julie, but everyone calls me Jewels. I've been a bit of a chunk-a-monk since I can really remember. I'm kinda tall, at 5'9" but at my peak I remember weighing 168lbs. I went on a few different diets and ended up dropping to 152lbs, but I still wasn't happy. In 2007 I went on the South Beach Diet and dropped down to 136lbs where I was able to maintain that for several years. In 2010 I went on HCG to drop more and ended up at 126lbs and I was SO happy! Of course it came back. I managed to get myself back up to 150lbs and it's so depressing! So here I am again and at a pivotal moment in my life... I'm getting down to 125 - 130lbs but I'm doing it the right way this time!!!

Birth Control Pills and Weight Gain
Has anyone noticed their weight loss slows, stops, or they actually gain from taking birth control bills? I tried to pinpoint exactly when I stopped losing weight and started gaining even with dieting and it was when I started the pills again... anyone heard of this???

Can we eat couscous on phase 2?

Can we eat couscous on phase 2?
Are we able to eat couscous on phase 2 of the south beach diet? I really don't like brown rice, so hopefully we can.

Quick Meals and Snacks for Phase 1 SBD
Hey All,

So I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good snacks that are acceptable for phase one. I don't like seafood at all and I'm picky with veggies (I do like them a lot, but definitely not raw)... considering my pickiness does anyone know good things to snack on that I can have like while I'm at work or inbetween meals? I feel like I'm always running late so I don't really have much time to make things so I sometimes have to eat a cheese stick or some jello but that's just not cutting it so any thoughts or tips would be great all... thanks!!

I ate like total crap this weekend! I didn't count points at all and my scale went on the fritz so I need to get it fixed... I'm hoping it's the battery ...
