Low Carb High Protein Dieters ~ A Question For You
No I don't find it restrictive at all. I am pretty much a vegetarian anyway and I have a thyroid issue(very slow) so I have a weight problem on top of that plus my cholesterol was high and I married a man that loves to cook and is great at it and loves to eat.Which was a curse and a blessing together. Now that we both are on this I'm on 7th heaven because we are eating the way I like and he is eating healthier.
I use tofu for protein and low fat low moisture mozzarella cheese sticks plus we have discovered egg beaters and all kinds of veggies to add to it to bulk it up so I'm not eating any meat which thrills me and I'm still getting protein and I get a lot of carbs from the fruit I eat... Apples, oranges, pineapples, blueberries etc. plus lots of veggies. The good carbs. I keep my carbs about 1/2 of my daily intake and enough protein and fats to make up the other 1/2 with more protein that fat. No breads, not even wheat, pasta, potatoes ect.. all the stuff that puts weight on me.
Don't get me wrong.. It takes getting used to and I do get cravings but I think about how I'm doing and looking and it helps me walk away. Plus... I tried on a dress that I bought and never wore because it was too snug..Well if I keep on track.. I will be wearing it soon and it will look good. Smile One more thing.. Had a blood test last week and everything is right in the middle..So there to my doctor who kept wanting to give me drugs..
