I need low-carb/SB Diet lunch ideas
Hi Chazen,

I don't know all the rules of the SB diet but I can definitely make a few low carb/high protein suggestions that I make in advance for lunches during the week. Crustless quiche is one. I use Egg Beaters with a little milk or nonfat Chobani for the base then throw in veggies like broccoli, mushrooms, lean ham and fat free feta. I usually get about 30g of protein per serving and minimal carbs from the veggies.

Also, I make "lasagna" with low carb whole wheat tortillas instead of the pasta and extra lean turkey mixed in with the sauce. The turkey gives a lot of protein and the La Tortilla factory brand tortillas only have 80 cals per large tortilla and 12g of fiber. Then I pile on the fat free cheese layer in fat free ricotta or low fat cottage cheese.

I usually have one day ever two weeks where I deem a cooking day. I make a few dishes, portion them out into containers and freeze them. Then it's very easy to thaw and go.

Also for another resource, check out Food.com. They have a great recipe sifter that lets you filter by "low carb" "high protein" and gives you a lot of suggestions.
