I started in Fatsecret in Dec 2014 and managed to lose 22 pounds fairly quickly by focussing on a caloric deficit and regular visits to the gym. However, last summer I lost my focus and wasn't using the FS site. My weight slowly went back on - back up to 235 pounds by Christmas 2015.

I started this journey again in January 2016. While not counting every calorie so much, I did cut out the beer and G&Ts, desserts, excessive bread, and large meal portions. Going back to the gym has also been great.

I find that reporting my progress in FS keeps me focussed among my FS peers.
