I have a bunch of small goals before I reach my main Goal Weight. Just little milestones that have personal meaning. Achieving small goals are really motivating. They're easier to reach - rather than seeing nothing but that main goal from so far away. And they make me feel like I've crossed a hurdle in my personal history. It's also nice because there’s only about 1 to 2 pounds between most of them. So with each week or two, I should be passing a little milestone.
Here are my goals:
Current weight: 182.7 January 1, 2012.
179: Out of the 180s!
177.7: Five pounds lost!
175: Struggling to get here and stay here (or less).
172.7: Ten pounds lost!
171: The weight I was when I started WW the first time.
169: Out of the 170s!
167.7: Fifteen pounds lost!
164: The weight I was when I went on Phen-Fen 15 years ago.
159: My main Goal Weight. (Technically I’d like to be between 150-154 for the rest of my life but I’d be happy with 159. We’ll see how I feel when I reach it.)
