I am on a journey. This is a chance to change the things I thought I couldn't. To finally be in control. I have decided that I am responsible, no one can "talk" me into my own bad behavior.

Learning my own body and how it reacts to certain foods is key to successful weight control. Anyone can lose weight, it is keeping it off that we are in search of. That takes patience and understanding. We have it with our children, co-workers and spouses...why not ourselves. My plan is to learn what my tolerance is and how to successfully eat and still enjoy it.

Help!!!
You can do this! With a quick stumble, what happened? What was your trigger? I have a saying... Learn it, Live it and Love yourself. Be as patient with yourself as you are with others, but you have to learn the process and your body. This is about more than the bite! You can do this!!!

Carbs.........
First let me say you are doing a great job with your weight lose!!

But with any process, the goal is more than just weight. It is learning your body and what it can tolerate. Are you getting in all your veggies? We all want a quick and steady lose, but we want it to stay off too. The key to success is not in the bite, but how the bite will affect our body.

Help
You have to be ready to make that change, read your labels and reduce the carbs in your diet. In addition avoid processed foods. All of these things will help curb your sugar cravings.

Medication weight gain =(
Not on the same med, but did have the same problem. I am working on re-losing weight that I had lost over 6 years ago, but have re-gained do to seizure meds. My doc switched my meds in January and said I should start losing...not. So I now start my journey again. I only need to lose half of what I lost the first time, but it is still interesting thinking that I have already lost it once and had kept it off for 3 years.

Emotionally health is more important than a few extra lbs. Just don't give in to the meds and say it doesn't matter. It is easy to do. A lot of women will use that as an excuse to have that piece of pie. We know that we have an extra hurdle so we have to be even more diligent. Best of luck to you both!!

How can I curb the Carbs?
When we are trying to lose weight we tend to go to the extreme. Your breakfast this morning is extreme as you have cut all protein and loaded up with carbs. We tend to go for quick fix foods like cereal and such. It does take a little more time but your health is worth it. A protein based breakfast will keep you satisfied and keep you from having a mid morning crash. I started today with eggs, 1/2 an avocado & a small tomato.
