Ever since I can recall, I have enjoyed working out. It started in high school with Tae Kwon Do and it continued in the Navy with circuit training, running, step aerobics, kickboxing, line dancing, and now zumba. I look forward to physical challenges, but more than anything I've realized the mind is a lot stronger than the body.
At one point in my life I was over 147 lbs. I felt fat and unhappy. I decided on Sept 16, 2009 to change that and never look back. I realized that I could lose the weight and suddenly I had a new drive to influence others in the same way. I pushed myself until I got as low as 133 lbs. I couldn't believe it. I was the starting weight I was in high school. I realized with hard work, determination, and discipline, I could do it. I started logging all my calories and my exercise and suddenly the math made sense.
I can't wait to get break 130. I hope to be an inspiration to others and motivate them in the same way. You can do anything you want, if you want it bad enough. Don't ever give up and accept mediocrity. Strive for success, one small accomplishment at a time!!
It is never too late to turn the tide. I know my journey has just begun and I can't ever go back. I feel stronger and more fit than I ever have in my life. I realized the only failure was not trying. It's hard some days to get up and workout, but once I do I feel fantastic.
I welcome the journey for the rest of my life...here's to my health! See you on the positive side!
