I am a 41 year old mother of three, two of which have left the nest. My oldest was married in October of 2011 and will have made me a grandma by August of 2012. I am so excited. I want to keep myself young, healthy and fit. The fall and winter of 2011 was bad to me (I was actually bad to myself)! I am doing the SBD for the new year to sort of cleanse my body. I have been walking briskly every day with a little resistance in there for extra umph. After the first two weeks have been tackled I will begin a more vigorous exercise routine. I am looking forward to bikini season, hoping this grandma will be able to pull it off!

Don't be afraid
I love lifting heavy....well I am working on it. Hit a new PR of 175 lb. dead lift! I'm sure that is nothing for you! And I'm working on getting over the mental hurdle of cleaning (I know, I know, just get under the bar)anything over 75 pounds is difficult for me still. I can squat my weight too. But I have not been doing any cardio and it is starting to show. My body fat percentage is down and my strength is up but for some reason I have cellulite where I have never noticed it before. I have a personal trainer and he keeps telling me to concentrate on the strength. The muscles will continue to help burn the fat.....UGH what about the cellulite!!!!

LFitness 727 : you have to log onto Fatsecret.com to select which macros you want to track. It will sync to your phone app once you do and display it there. I don't believe you can set it from your phone though....but it will track up to 4 macros of your choosing.

Mummydee you can eat whatever fits into your daily macros, not your daily RDI. Hit your protein, fat, carb and fiber allowances and the number should equal your RDI. If you do not know what your specific number of grams protein, grams fat, grams carbs, and fiber go to iifym.com and use the iifym calculator.

It's not intermittent fasting but some do both. It is eating a certain amount of protein, carbs, fat, and fiber (which if you hit the mark on these will also be a specific caloric intake). It is based on your gender, age, height, weight, activity level, and desired goal. In essence you can eat whatever you want if it fits in your daily prescribed numbers....but obviously you should choose your food wisely. But it allows you things in moderation so you don't binge on food that is bad for your body. I posted a website address with a calculator if you are interested. It is pretty awesome and a good read.
