I just retired in May because of Arthritis. Since I've been home, all I've done is eat and gain weight! My husband and I have both started a weight loss program.Please wish us luck. We can do it, we both quit smoking 12 years ago at the same time! lol

Loosing weight
In December of 2010 my husband joined the VA MOVE program and decided to do all he could to loose weight. He started at 278# at 6'3".He now has lost 31 lbs!! We have changed our diet,started counting the calories that go into our mouth each day, exercise,exercise,exercise! I have lost 13 lbs in the same amount of time. I just joined the MOVE program on April 1st..so we will see how well I do on it too..I have Rheumatoid arthritis in my feet,hips,and hands..so I'm unable to exercise like he does. but we got a Wii game and I get up and play golf,Frisbee,table tennis and others...the key is I GET UP OFF OF THE COUCH!Wish me luck on my continued struggle.I am 5'6' and now weigh 201 from 214!!! yeah!
