Hi,
I have been slim most of my life, never had to diet, ate well but healthy and was always active. Until I became ill and put on 12 lbs in weight. The antibiotics I was given, caused me to contract candida but with the aid of a nutritionist, I was able to lose the weight and get rid of the candida and keep it under control.
I kept the weight off for 3 years and then experienced a very stressful time at work, I lost a lot of hair and started to put on weight. That was in December 2006 and since that time my weight as fluctuated and I haven't been able to lose the excess weight. Every January I promise myself I will lost it and I do lose a bit of weight and then put it back on because I return to eating badly. This year was the same, but since August, I have been reading a lot of books on nutrition. I appreciate, I need to give my body good fuel and my goals need to be for life. Fad Diets aren't going to give me vitality and energy, which is what I need to get the most out of life. So here goes!
All the best
