I'm 55 years old and recently retired. I freaked out when I got on the scales and reached triple figures (100.2KGS) and decided to do something about it.
I'm married with no children, but I have got two dogs, can you guess what their names are?
The dogs have helped with my lifestyle change, as they need to be walked twice a day. Started just a short leisurely walk, but have now graduated to a brisk longer walk.
I'm really happy that the relatively minor changes I have made have made such a difference.

Holiday Help
Our holiday recipes are a bit different to yours, as its summer here, so we have a lot of fresh seafood, prawns(shrimp), crab and salads are big also. Desserts are fruit salad, or pavalovas, trifles,made on low fat jelly and skim milk custard. However, the best advice I heard the other day was, eat what you like on Christmas Day, because one (1) day of indulging won't hurt you, Its when you do it consistently over the whole period, that hurts.

Any dog loving buddies?
The best exercise, walk your dogs twice a day! I'm sooo lucky, I live by a beach, and walk the esplanade morning and afternoon, rain hail or shine. Its as brisk as a dog will let you go, i.e. tree stops, and bending over to pick up droppings is good exercise too!! With the dogs pulling, I can even break into a jog for a bit. I love this site, it has made my "lifestyle" experience so much easier, and the proof is in the not eating the pudding.
