What was your turning point?
I was 24 I think, and I woke up thinking I was dying. I knew I wasn't literally dying, but my back hurt. Who has back problems at 24? I got winded going up three flights of stairs. My clothes were tight even in obese sizes and I avoided mirrors and cameras. I was tired... all at the age of 24. That day I made a commitment to myself that I had a reason for being born, that I owed it to myself to realize my potential. We've all go a reason for existence.

Anyway, for 6 months I got my diet perfect. No refined carbs, sugars. Easy, 60 pounds down in six-eight months. Then I plateaued, so I added cardio. I walk/ran for 50 minuted five days a week. I lost another twenty pounds. Then I added resistance training and lost another ten. (11% bf)
Over the course of three years I've lost over 90, then added weight training and gained about 15 back, but I look better and am stronger than ever before. BTW for 2 years I never slipped. Never ate a slice of bread, never a beer, never a real soda, never anything refined. Three years later I've never eaten fast food. I've had five salads from fast food joints since, but I'm worth more then ten minutes of big mac. So are you.

It's Finally Time.
Well good luck buddy, it's definitely within your power to make it happen. I'm of the opinion that what one man can do, so can another. It's all about how willing you are to do it. I started in my 250's so I'm not far from where you started. It'll be difficult at first, but you'll adapt. Use the app, make sure you get enough protein, cardio is good but resistance training is better. I'm not even talking about lifting weights just yet, but body weight exercises with a little cardio won't kill you.

Lao-tzu said it best, "the longest journey starts with a single step." Your rant tonight is that step... let's see what you can do.

Tylenol PM & Advil PM
What everyone else said. Also, Tylenol PM has acetaminophen in it, and if taken long enough, will cause liver damage. My mother was telling me about an older man whose insurance claims she was working on who needed a liver transplant because he had taken Tylenol PM every day for years. That's going to the extreme, but I'm saying. (I take melatonin btw)

Spouse Not Supportive
Fascinating topic. I've thought a lot about this issue throughout my journey and it's more common than people think. I like to call it "familial sabotage," but I think it goes farther than that for many.

Husband/wife that unintentionally tries to derail your diet?
Parent's that get offended you won't eat their lasagna?
Grandma gets offended you won't eat her signature pecan pie?
Coworkers continue to bring in fast food for lunch everyday?
Skinny (or overweight but don't care-ish) best friends that want to go get drinks and eat the unhealthiest things?

It's like a slap in the face. Trust me, I know. I didn't get fat because I hated food, and getting constant temptation from people who love you is frustrating. My co-workers would literally buy me burgers or tacos etc., even when I said "NO." It's almost insulting, but it gets better. At first I'd slip away and throw the things they bought me out. I felt guilty about it, but it's my life, only I can be responsible for failure or success. The more you say "no," in time, they stop asking.

Stay steadfast and as you continue to shrink they'll be scratching their heads thinking, "oh crap he/she is serious." Then you'll be the one they come to for advice. Sometimes they'll even get on board and join you because they'll see the fruits of your hard work and realize that it's not an intangible goal. Okay sorry for the rant lol.

16 Healthiest Foods Ever
I agree with cottage cheese.^ I eat it every night with just stevia/splenda and cinnamon.

Also, sweet potatoes! They're soo good. Half one, microwave until soft, stevia, a little cinnamon, splash of sugar free syrup. FO'GETTA BOUT IT. Can you tell I like cinnamon?
