I'm a 47 year old mother of two fantastic grown kids. I've been married for more than 26 years to the MOST amazing man ever ... REALLY! I'm 5'4" and when I graduated high school I think I weighed about 106 or so. My wedding dress was a cut-down size 6 (they didn't do size 4, 2, 1, or 0 back then!) My engagement ring was a size 4 3/4. Under all this blubber, I'm a tiny person!

I really NEED to get back to that tiny person again. I've had lots of excuses over the years for why I've put on weight. But they are exactly that now ... excuses!

My kids are grown and gone ... so I'm not chasing them around anymore. I own my own business and work from my home ... so it's not because I'm stuck at an office working 70 hours a week eating junk food. I don't really eat that badly. I really believe that if I can get the weight off, I'll be able to keep it off.

I started working out at a gym a few weeks ago. Even working with a personal trainer to keep me on track. It costs money, but it keeps me focused.

My family is very supportive and my son is even on Fat Secret with me. I have been severely blessed by God in my life and it's time I started treating this body as His temple like I should.

Here's mine:

1.) Strutting into my 30th high school reunion looking like a babe! Smile
2.) Wearing a size 6 or 8 again!
3.) Walking up stairs without getting winded.
4.) Having more energy to keep up with my surrogate grandkids - all the toddlers on my street
5.) Tucking in my shirts cause I won't be trying to hide my belly and rear! Sad
6.) Buying a bunch of new clothes.
7.) Looking more like what I feel like on the inside
8.) Being a "trophy" for my wonderful husband again
9.) Being the "hottest" mom among my kids friends (they're grown now)

Exercise dvd's that won't disturb my downstairs neighbor
I got Valerie Bertinelli's new workout DVD. It would not disturb your downstairs neighbors, gives you a serious workout, and several different levels depending on where you are.

You're doing what you need to do ... congratulations! Maybe your workouts are just making them feel guilty for NOT working out! Embarassed
