I am a wife, and mother of two beautiful grown daughters, and have 4 gorgeous granddaughters! I am very blessed and am grateful to God for the wonderful family and friends he has put in my life. I have struggled with my weight pretty much all my life. It is now causing health issues and just becoming such a hindrance to who I am and want to be. I want to be able to move freely without being out of breath or in pain! I want to play with my granddaughters and not feel my hear racing. So, this past June on my 49th birthday I put forth a goal and challenge to myself to lose 50lbs before my 50th birthday. I call that Phase I. I am really pleased to see that if I keep on track I will surpass that goal and move into Phase 2 ...the next 50lbs! As I've made dietary changes and introduced walking and exercise into my life, God has really begun to change my desires and the foods that used to be such a temptation for me really don't hold that much power anymore. But I have to be careful to no get too over confident and rely on God to lead me and depend on Him when I feel like eating something that is bad for my body. It is incredible how the Lord has designed our bodies to basically heal itself when given the right foods and nutrients. God is so good!
