I'm 19 years old and am extremely active, being a college Athlete. Despite being extremely active, I would like to shed a few pounds. Over a year ago, after a break up (I think that may have triggered it) and after stopping swimming(my other sport), I slowly gained 15-20 pounds. Being an athlete, the added weight doesn't show too much; however, I have extra body fat surrounding my muscles. I plan to shed about 15 pounds (currently am 145 and 5'8" tall) and better develope my muscles over the next couple months. I understand that some of the weight gain may have come from muscle mass as I have gotten stronger since being at college; however there is extra weight. I want to be cutter and plan to have a more balanced diet (as I am an m&m addict and sugar addict). I am going to cut out candy for this first week to clean out my system and see where it gets me.
