Semi retired, like hanging out with my wife, son (weight lifter), friends, like dogs, mtb cycling, reading, binge watching Netflix, geek level computer guy. In the past two years I've become a Clean Eating fanatic, a hobby & passion, becoming free of Industrial pollutants in food & living environment. My friends & family are always making fun of my most recent Clean Food fanatics. Passionate about Fitness & Clean Food.

About the name. The name comes from my initials and a Ridgeback. He was rescued as a puppy on the freeway with broken legs, lived at the vet's for three weeks before he came to live with us. Only a mighty puppy could have survived. So, we named him Mighty Dawg. He appeared to be full blooded Ridgeback, but colors were off. Sometimes breeders throw away defectives, they can't sell them. He came to us when I was doing a year of chemo (2001) and it was destroying my life, and he never left my side. Mighty Dawg taught me that we may not be perfect, but we are never broken, and with a place to belong where people treat you kind, you just might become the happiest Dawg in the world.

Two good books I have recently read
The Untethered Soul - The Journey Beyond Yourself, Michael A. Singer
Food, What The Heck Should I Eat, Mark Hyman

I can't seem to find the settings or portal to add all these details to my Personal Member Diet.

Tips appreciated.

I have ketone urine test strips and tested for the first few days, but there was no change in the very light pink color -- somewhere between "none" and "minimal." I don't want to waste the strips when I'm eating way too many carbs and most probably not in ketosis.

I'm going to test tomorrow, since my total carbs have been under 40g. I'll let you know if there's any change.

I've toyed with the idea of getting a ketone blood test kit, but they are very expensive.

I have read that the both the test strips nor the blood test kit are really that accurate, and may not be worth the money. Two weeks is unlikely to be in Ketosis, unless you are doing below 20 net gm p/day.

I've read that urine smells bad, breath smells bad, frequent urination, increased energy levels, better mental clarity.

Those were all the things that I noticed without the testing stuff

Need help with setting up Recipes ..
When I set up my Recipes I add ingredients, 1 lb lean ground beef, 4 oz cream cheese, 1/2 Avocado, etc. The ground beef comes out as "1 lb," but the 4 oz cream cheese shows as "1 serving." It get it that I can select various measurements as I add ingredients. But, I see that recipes from others are coming out with the exact measurements rather than "1, 2 servings."

What am I doing wrong.
Thanks

New to Navigating the site
Newbie. Been having trouble navigating the site, but thrilled to have figured most of it out. Very sophisticated site. Mainly, want detailed cal, carb, exercise, tracking to watch what I eat. Want to eat cleaner, more organic.
