Hungry
Hi there. I read just the other day that if you are hungry eat an apple before your meal. It will fill you up and you won't over eat. Also a green apple apparently is better than a red one. I think it has less sugar content.
Also try eating sugar free gum. I saw that recommended by Bob Harper on Biggest Loser.

I find evenings when I am inclined to snack. I keep a bowl of orange and apple pieces and I snack on that instead.
