My name is Paul and I live in Fort Walton Beach Florida. I'm 53 years old, married to my wife Debbie for 16 years. We have 5 kids and 13 grandkids.

I spent 24 years in the Air Force and never had weight issues. But when I retired and I suppose without the discipline to keep my weight in check that the military demands my weight increased. Eventually, my weight reached 330 lbs., and increase of 130 lbs. since I retired. I also have a medical condition called atrial fibrillation. The medication for that reduces my heart rate and my metabolism which increased the rate of weight gain. It also has other nasty side affects

April 1st of 2013 I decided that I had had enough and started my weight loss journey with two main goals in mind. Obviously to get rid of the weight but hopefully this would help the afib to the point that I could possibly reduce or eliminate the medication. The adventure begins.....
