Goal Weight:170.0 lb
following: Calorie Count
performance: gaining 0.5 lb a week

I'm a 56 year old mid-west mom, wife and grandma, and have been overweight most of my adult life (like a lot of others.) Love food and tend to be a stress eater, so job, kids, hubby, life itself always present opportunities to stress out and overeat. I could always lose 10 - 30 lbs. and then quickly put it back on. It's time to take control of things.
Goals - to be under 200 lbs. again. UPDATE - met goal Feb. 2014.
To level out at about 170. UPDATE - met goal Oct. 2014.
To finally make it down to 150??

Keep on trying
Keep at it Losing. I started out about the same weight as you and have been plugging away at it. I have lost 70 lbs. so far (over 1 1/2 years, but I am older than you and it takes longer as you age.) I fall off the wagon ALL THE TIME, but then get right back on. Logging your food is a real eye-opener and really has helped me to see how much I can pack away when I lose control. Read the posts here and you will see that you are not alone and this is a community of great people who have all gone down the same road. Keep experimenting until you find what works for you. For me, there are trigger foods that just keep me stuffing it in. Sugar is the worst, simple carbs like bread, bagels, and so-on is a close second. If I avoid them, I can eat sensibly. Unfortunately there are times I don't avoid them, lol. Stress is also a big trigger. It's tough, but when stressed or even depressed, instead of popping something in your mouth, take a walk or find something to keep you busy (hobbies? crafting? cleaning?) The big thing is you have to be mindful ALL THE TIME of what you are eating - yes it is hard, but if committed you can, and will do this.
