I am Apurva Gandhi, aged 57. Since 2011 I am a member of fatsecret and my peak weight was 103.5 kg in 2015 and for the last 2 years it was hovering between 96 - 100 kg. Last 4 months of lockdown, I got the opportunity to correct my diabetes and bloodpressure. My Hba1c was 8.5 and I started a combination of intermittent fasting and omitted just four major food groups - wheat and wheat based products, rice (except when fermented like in dosas/dhoklas), sweets (all forms of sugar, sugar substitutes completely avoided) and fried eatables. Also no form of packaged foods was eaten.

Exercise routine -
1) Morning Yoga - 1 hour 2) Staircase climbing (about 200 steps) in the afternoon 3) 25 minutes of cardio in the evening.

Results - Weight Loss of 19+ kg, diabetes both the medicines stopped (Hba1c is 5.7), blood pressure medicines are half of what I used to take. Sleep apnea eliminated and average sleep time increased from 5 hours to 6.5 hours. Many other benefits linked to blood sugar levels becoming normal such as hair growth, smoother skin, softer nails, no cracked heels, cervical pain gone, vision improved, no dandruff etc.

Wheat and sugar are real killers... stop them now. (I eat millets of various kinds)
