Calories Burned
Sorry but be very careful about the stated calories burned. They are generaly far too high.

For example using GPS, a heart rate monitor and a cycling app I will burn about 900 calories. I will average 17mph over 2 hours.

FatSecret tells me that I will have burned 1700 calories.

Juicing (vegetables) and Food sharing
Thanks. Good idea but as the mix changes and we don't have access to such a device it wont work.

Juicing (vegetables) and Food sharing
I have a couple of questions related to recording specific "meals" using raw produce rather than branded products.

The background is that I want to lose about 5-7kg to get to a more comfortable weight for my height and build.

My wife needs to lose about 14kg to be more comfortable and to help her high blood pressure.

Our bad habits are, mostly, portion control related and we easily meet the 5 a day (or more) vegetable/fruit intake.

We are not living in a place where structured and formal support such as Weight Watchers is available so we are going to do it together using Fat Secret as our diary and nutrient data source. I have had a Fat Secret account for years.

So my questions:

How do we calculate the nutrient intake for vegetable/fruit juice when we are doing the juicing? Typically a morning juice is:
2 courgette
3 carrot
1 beetroot
1 apple
knob of ginger.

This is split between us so we typically have about 350ml of mixed juice each.

Can I share me regular foods and recipes with my wife (she will also have a Fat Secret account)?

Sharing this will help her get used to the app more quickly.

Muesli:

Served with a splash of milk and a good soaking in smoothie, in particular pineapples, bananas & coconuts:
