My history with weight is like every one of you that has joined this website. A lifetime of ups and downs on the scale and many diet programs tried and failed. Weight Watchers is the only program that has ever worked for me. First, it takes a mind set, a sincere commitment of "I WILL AND I CAN DO THIS". I lost 91 lbs. way back in 1978-79 and yes, I gained most of it back. 1998 I fell in love and lost 50+ lbs.; fell out of love and gained most of that back. You got this picture, right? Well, at my tender age of 65 I have sucessfully lost 57 lbs. because I was determined never to take medications for high blood pressure, cholesterol and sugar again. Right now I'm up 13 lbs. and my brain tells me constantly - you've got to get this off your body. My willpower has gone bye-bye at the moment. Monday I did very well on my food intake and managed to get a 20 minute walk in. Tuesday, I did attend a WW meeting at noon time. The church's senior citizens had a dinner meal and I didn't do well at all. Wednesday, still a good day with the food and walked 30 minutes right after work. It's Thursday now and today has been good so far. 94% FF Popcorn in my main snack food for night time. I've been in the habit of having Lance crackers about 3 o'clock every day. This week I've had a sliced apple at that time.
Tomorrow I join Curves to help me on this journey. I can't afford plastic surgery to get rid of the flab, so Curves just may help me in that endeavor.
