I am 58 years old. A mom to 3 great kids and Nana to 7 grandkids. My husband and I are retired although he now works part time in a totally different profession. Health wise I am a diabetic 2 with hypertension and high cholestral. I am diagnosed with hypothyroid. Iam taking meds for all of these conditions. I woke up today realizing that I am tired of being overweight (not a new revelation) but I believe more determined than ever before. I want to be able to have more energy and eventually be able to stop or at least lessen the meds that I'm taking now once my weight and other medical conditions decrease. I love to take pictures and most days carry a camera whereever I go. Unfortunately, I cannot bend or stand for too long as I tend to get tired due to being overweight. This hampers my desire to take the kind of pictures I want. So my goals for this new year is to lose weight BUT not doing a diet but making good conscious decisions of what I need to eat and making this a way of life for me. All 3 of my children do some kind of physical exercise and my 3 older grandchildren are involved in some type of physical activity. I have been blessed in getting a very discounted membership in a gym. I believe this will keep me on track.
