I made a strawberry cheesecake (lo-fat, but still!) for my BF last night (birthday today) and it was SO hard not to lick the bowl and taste everything 3 times like I normally would! LOL I ended up being strong, but that was my first real struggle since starting my diet on Monday. I was pretty proud of myself but now I just have to figure out how to survive with it in my fridge all weekend! :) Today will be my first no exercise day this week, but I'll hit it hard Sat & Sun to make up the difference.

Yay!! 149 lbs :) Ok, I know I'm not going to continue to lose at this rate for long, but wow, what a great feeling! I'm really feeling like I can do this. The healthy diet and racheting up the exercise are working and I'm not having any urges to cheat at all. We'll see how that holds up this weekend when we have both a family funeral & birthday to attend. Here in the south, both tend to be food fests, but I'm actually kinda looking forward to the challenge of making good choices when surrounded by temptation. Wish me luck LOL

:o) Not having a hard time with this diet really at all which is somewhat surprising. No crazy cravings or hunger pangs. Feeling satisfied and positive. I hope it continues like this for the next 15.6 lbs!

Didn't sleep so well last night. Well, I slept, but flopped around a lot and had to take ibuprofin @ 3am for a pounding headache. Think I was dehydrated after sweating so much on my interval walk yesterday. Legs are sore this morning, which I'm taking as a positive sign. Unsure of whether I should be weighing myself daily, but figured I would go ahead with it as an in-your-face reminder of how much weight I've gained. :o) Whatever it takes, right?

OMG I woke up and got on the scale after a bsy BUSY weekend and weighed 152 lbs! I've gained 17 lbs in the past year and a half & the buck stops here. Granted, I've quit smoking and had to stop running due to a knee injury, but sheesh. REALLY? I'm still active, I'm a pretty healthy eater overall, I don't eat fast food, and am harrassed regularly by my son for being the only mother in the world who doesn't buy soda or junky food like Pop Tarts, chips or cookies. I signed up today to hopefully stop the madness and get my arms around this issue before it gets out of control. I'm tired of my tight clothes and feeling worried about the upcoming beach season! So here we go...
