Start Weight
155.0 lb
Lost so far: 5.4 lb

Current Weight
149.6 lb
Performance: losing 1.5 lb a week

Goal Weight
125.0 lb
Still to go: 24.6 lb
My name is Heather, I'm married & a working mom. I've been stuck here at this weight for the past 5 years, minus the time I was pregnant. I was at 147 when I got pregnant. Have been struggling to get back there. My son was born in 2008, and I just passed 147 in my 1st week. I found Atkins while considering HCG, and have been so far successful. I admit to falling off the wagon occassionally, but I always get right back on. In my 1st 2 weeks, I managed to lose 6lbs & 11ins. More than I've been able to lose in months on other plans.
My goal right now is 130 or 125. I plan to re-assess once I hit 135. I might not want to lose another 10. I just want to be healthy, and happy with the way I look for a change. I will never be a stick-thin girl by any stretch of that definition. Most all of my weight is in the middle, and it drives me crazy. Soon as it stops raining 10days a week here ;) I plan to take full advantage of the sunshine! I go to the gym on average 3 or 4 days a week. Sometimes it's more, sometimes it's less. I don't have a set routine, I just do whatever. When it's less I try to take a walk through the neighborhood with my son & dog, or do something at home.

If I were thin, I'd...
If I were thin....
I'd finally not feel like the fat girl everytime we hang out with friends. I currently even outweigh the one who is 6mos pregnant. So glad I found that out. :/ I'd fit back into all those clothes hanging in the back of my closet. Maybe I wouldn't hate shopping so much. I'll only shop for clothes for myself online or alone. I'd love to go with a friend again. I won't feel like my DH is embarrassed to be seen out with me. Even though I know this one is all me projecting. I know he's not, but I am, so I guess I feel like he must be too.

Ratio - Carbs/Fat/Protein
Thanks guys! My chicken salad is homemade, it has chicken, salt, pepper, a little lemon juice, celery & mayo. It also has onion powder this time b/c I didn't have any onions. This isn't really a typical day. It's an "in the office day". I have to be at work at 7, and drop my son off 1st. I leave home @ 6. The other 4 days, I usually have eggs & bacon/sausage for breakfast. I am working on getting in more veggies. I'm getting tired of salads twice a day. Most other days I do get about 12-15 of my carbs from veggies. The brats are new, wanted to try something different. Not sure, but I may have forgotten to include my hard-boiled egg w/ lunch today. I've been on induction since the 4th, so about 2.5 weeks.

Ratio - Carbs/Fat/Protein
Good morning! I was hoping that someone out there who may be better at math than I am could give me some advice on what a good Carb/Fat/Protein ratio is for Atkins. I've logged all I plan to eat today, so far I've got: 6% Carb, 73% Fat, 21% Protein. I'm eating: cheese cubes, 2 salads, chicken salad, a smoked brat, & some steamed broccoli. I left out snacks 'cuz I haven't been hungry between meals lately, so I haven't been eating them. Weight seems to have stalled/gone up a lb since Sunday. Haven't changed anything. Not strength training, mostly just cardio & some yoga.

What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
What I want:
-To not always be the biggest girl when we hang out with friends.
-To be IN pictures with my son, not behind the camera.
-To not be too big to fit in my husband's jeans. I'll never wear them, I just want them to be too big for me, not the other way around.
-To wear a swimsuit that isn't a loose tankini top with a pair of board shorts.
-To have the 6 or so pairs of jeans in the back of my closet be too big instead of too small.
-To actually be able to shop for clothes that look good on me, that aren't oversized hoodies.
-To not suck it in all the time, especially when around friends.
-To be more than 15lbs lighter than my DH. I mean, he's the man, he should be heavier. He's got almost a foot on me, and WAY more muscle.
-Don't want to look like I'm 3mths pregnant anymore.

Luckily there isn't a family history of weight-related issues, but I don't want to the beginning of it. My mom & grandmothers, and most of my aunts have always been big.

Atkins buddies needed! Working mothers preferred! :)
Just sent you a buddy request! We are pretty close in age, I'm 26 with a 3yr old, DH & full time job. I started on 4/4/11, and plan to stay in Induction till 5/1 or 1/2 way to my goal. Congrats on your -5!
