Hi, my name is Monika and im 42 years old. I was born and raised in Germany in a small but beautiful town. I love the arts and photografy. Got my Diploma in Graphic and Communication Design.
Never, never in my wildest dreams I would have thought that I will live in America. But I met my husband (Army - stationed in Germany) and it was love at first sight. Moved to Florida and it became my second home away from home. We are married for 21 years now and we have three boys.
My weight was not always a challenge, but after each child it got harder and harder to control, to lose the extra pounds. After a wile I just gave up or in. Of course it didn't help that I was working as MGR at Mc Donalds. Work and Family always came first, no time for myself. Sleep...ha...who needs it. I was a workhorse. S T R E S S . So, with 41 and topping the scale at almost 280pf. I had a mild heart attack and that was my wake up call. I never smoked or drank, my cholesterol total number alway below 190. I also found out that I have a unregular heartbeat. Never knew.
So, here I'm again try to lose weight and live a long an healthier life.
Less stress and part time. I started to sleep, y e s... really sleep and rest.
My next goal: I want to start painting again. My dream... to love the colors and to creat -again.
P.s. I almost forgot, Im doing my own diet plan, because I still have to feed my four VERY hungry men. And I don't want to cook twice or deal with different food for me and them. Done that - to much work. So, I eat 4 times a day and portion controled meals. Plenty of water and because I get up at 3am in the morning for work, I don't eat after 5pm. Bedtime is at 8:30pm latest. Work is very physical, but I'm working on a exercise and weight training plan for me. That is my challenge, I never liked exercising a lot. Love to swim, so. Last time I lost 27pf. hit a plateau and gave up. Hope I can do better this time.
Sincerly, Monika Jones
