Been thinking about what to say about myself...so here goes...

I'm a 39 (and holding) yo SAHM of 2 wonderful but very challenging boys (6 1/2 and 4). I had always grown up thinking I was heavy, but looking back at pictures of me as a teenager see that I was actually a decent weight as I am medium boned. As a young adult my weight went up and down, and after meeting my now husband, my weight started going up until I was at my heaviest here...213lbs.

I am tired of being obese, and want to wear pretty clothes again and feel confident in myself. I also want to have more energy for keeping up with my boys.

Constipation during Induction... ugh!!
So very true, Barbie.
Right now I'm having problems staying truly low carb (as in following the plan strictly). I've been eating more fruit and vegetables because that's what my body is telling me that it wants right now. But for the past couple of days I've been steering clear of the squirrely bread and definitely rice and pasta.

LMAO Mdep. Personally I didn't think you bit anyone's head off.

The first time I tried Atkins...it made me incredibly cranky cutting out carbs...this time around...finding it so much better...and I find that I feel better since I'm not bogged down with pasta and rice and other carbs. But as you say...it may not work for one person but works for another.
