I'm a 39 year old mom of two boys, Logan, who's 7 almost 8 now and Brennan, who's 5 almost 6. I stay at home but am the treasurer for our church, the PTO of my sons' school, virtual assistant for my friends Thirty-One business, part-time college student, and full-time mom. :) I LOVE what I do but the stress is killing me - literally some days, I think, as the weight just WON'T come off. My grandma, 2 aunts and a cousin all died before they were 64 of either cancer or heart disease. THAT stays in my mind when I'm going to go eat at McDonald's or some other 'junk' food. I don't want to die so early and REALLY do want to get healthy. I LOVE this website and am hoping that it will FINALLY help me lose that 50 pounds!!!

I need advice (long)
Funny to come across your post today --- I too am in the same exact position. Friends tell me that we really need to see a counselor -- someone on a 'neutral' level that can see both sides of our story. It's great to read other posts people are putting here. I'm hoping some of the suggestions will help me too. It's just really frustrating to get no support from hubby (and my hubby is 39) and sometimes he tells me I'm fat. Great, like that's really helpful! rrrrr Men are sooo annoying! But I'm trying to hang in there for our boys (who are 5 & 7 years old). Smile Thanks for posting - I hope things turn out okay for you!!!!

Hard too loose the Weight!
Hi Eve,
My RDI said the same - 1900/day. I'm guessing that might be to lose 1# a week or so. I bumped mine down to 1650/day and in two days now I've lost 2# w/very light exercise. I won't go below 1650 because I get too hungry and then "fall off the wagon". Smile And I don't seem to have any energy to exercise when I do 1200-1400 cal/day. I too have the same thing that you do - stuck at my weight for years and just tired of it! I fluctuate between 190-197 and it seems as soon as I hit that 190 my body starts craving junk food like crazy and then up the weight goes to 197. Ugh. Just found this website 2 days ago and hoping it helps!! Good luck to you!!!!! Smile
