Started focusing more on my health after having my youngest son in 2007. Started 2008 somewhere around 200 pounds, not sure of exact weight but was wearing a size 16/18 in jeans. Did Atkins diet for 3 months and then just watched portion sizes. I got down to 160 pounds by September 2008. Decided to join the Navy, dropped down to 145 pounds by November 2008. Left for boot camp in May 2009 weighing 145. Finished boot camp in July of 2009 weighing 138. After "A" school I returned home to my duty station in September of 2009 weighing 124. All my fitness activities, military style, with running, high impact challenges got sidelined in July 2010 when I had back surgery. They said I should have been paralyzed, but I'm not! My back is just fused together with metal plates/screws now and I live everyday in some level of discomfort from my multiple diagnoses related to my back/hip problems, but that's another story! Here it is now 2012 and I fluctuate between 117-120 pounds for the last couple of years. The scale does not seem to budge anymore....perhaps this is the "ideal" weight for my body, not sure. I would love to be the 105 pounds that I was in high school though. But not that disappointed cause I have gone from a size 16/18 down to a size 1/2 to a 3 in 4 years time...complete body transformation!
