Weight loss plateau
Well I've got over the joyous occasion of getting to my goal weight, and as I have mentioned before I still have (the podge) round the belly.

I haven't really been keeping logs on fat secret since I got to my goal.

I am not losing any more weight despite doing what I've always been doing. So my next goal is to lose another 7 LBS or half a stone so. for any of you that may have reached this I'm sure you will understand my frustration. don't worry help is at hand.. I found two sites that explains why this has happened and explained it in a way I could understand.
so have a look and hopefully it will help you as well.

As I love eating what I'm eating and the amount of what I'm eating I intend to up the exercise regime to see what happens.

Hi JoseHN, Atkins from my understanding does not count calories it counts carbs, and even in the OWL stage I still don't go over 20 - 25 grams of carbs (thanks to the life style change) only drink water and zero coke, Dr Pepper etc and never eat at least 3 hours before bed.

The Dreaded Belly Fat
Hi ladies and gents I need some advice and it seems only you guys (on the Atkins) seem to understand what I'm going through.

(some numbers for you)

I started this Atkins diet back in March this year (23rd to be exact) with a starting weight of 297lbs which is a little over 21 stone. I'm down to 242 lbs (17st 4lb) so I've lost approx 55lb (approx 4st) I calculate the duration of this transition to be approx 4 mths and 22 days which is approx 14lbs per month + or -.
I think this is pretty good so not overly concerned in the weight loss dept.

BUT ( there's always a but)

while I've lost a few inches on my belly (and a LOT every where else)it doesn't seem to want to leave me.
I do my cardio ( 45 mins every day) ride bike every other day approx 20 - 30 miles. and it won't go. I have been to the gym and tell them that I'm on Atkins (they have no clue as to what I'm talking about) and tell me to up my carbs to do weight lifting. The problem I have with that is I'm 51 and don't want to be training my weight down because when I stop training ( who want's to train at 61, 71 etc) the weight will come back..... so

after that long winded explanation.

What I want to know is how can I get rid of this belly fat.
