Goal Weight

Still to go: 10.0 lb
Three years ago I was working with Alzheimer's patients running my butt off...literally! I was working out and had gone shopping for jeans and found I was in a size 4....not bad for 50. Then I started working from home as a jewelry designer...basically on my butt all day and my weight has rocketed. 40lbs in that 3 years...10lb the first year, 15lbs the second and 15lbs already 3/4 through the third. Just HAVE to stop the trend.
I'm about to move Mom and I back to CA and I need all the energy I can muster to get the house ready to sell and do the move. Plus I'm planning to get on the teaching circuit next year and I'd like to have the energy not mention look my best to do that.
So my first goal is to lose 15lbs by Jan 1st and then 5lbs a month until I reach my goal.

Lacking Energy?
I'm pretty new to FS and as I've been reading posts it seems a lot of people have low energy so I thought I'd mention something that worked for me.....maybe you know about it, maybe you don't.
A few years ago I was so tired no matter how much sleep I got and found it difficult to get myself off the couch and I just felt completely drained. So I dug out an old book I had "Inner Cleansing: How to Free Yourself from Joint-Muscle-Artery-Circulation Sludge" by Carlson Wade.
Reading through it I came across something that totally addressed what I was feeling.......lecithin.
In granule/powder form added to OJ. I had to drag myself to the health store but once I had taken my first dose it took about 30 mins and then I started to feel better. It really does help and can get you through those rough low energy days.

The book is really good and has lots of tips and recipes to get you feeling better. I just ordered a new copy because I can't find mine and it was pretty worn out Smile

Coca-Cola
I will say drink water BUT try buying a can of apple or grape juice concentrate....defrost it, I like to keep it in a bottle in the fridge. A teaspoon of the concentrate in a glass and fill with a sparkling water, Perrier or Calistoga, tastes great and is easy on the wallet....AND it's water Smile
Kids love this too...great way to get them off soda.

Your thoughts on weight loss hypnosis?
Hypnosis is good and can help. I trained in hypnosis years ago and I used it to keep my weight from jumping up and down all the time...I would fluctuate 15lbs constantly. It worked, it seemed whenever I started to gain it would kick in and level me out. Was like that for 20 years...never had to diet Smile It's just the last 3 years I've gained because my lifestyle changed to being sat all day long and living where I'm not able to walk to anything.
I'd say try it Smile

biggest loser week 10
I think John better be the biggest loser this week or his ass is outta there. Ramon looked great! I think the better thing to do with the contests that are more physical like the mile run is make the contestants beat themselves...beat their own time from before...and choose the winner in the same way as at the weigh-ins by percentage. Then the person who had increased their own speed the most would win....much more fair when you're putting a 60 yr old up against a 20 yr old.
