I have been an avid runner for over 20 years now. The past 10 years I have been very inconsistent in my running. Life takes over and my "Me Time" somehow is eliminated from the hectic schedule of husband and teenagers. I usually gain weight and then start back running to lose the pounds; then, I remember how much I actually LOVE RUNNING!! December 2009 I was at my highest weight of 175 lbs; I currently weigh 138 lbs. I obtained this weight loss thru both running and calorie tracking. My long term goal is to reach 130 lbs. However, mileage is my main focus on this journey not these last 8 pounds. I love to help and encourage others on their journey as well. Entering races keeps me running and forces me to take "Me Time". So, yes; I am registered to run 2 half marathons this fall and will enter various 5K's & 10K's along the way!!
