I started this weight loss journey in March 2015, with an initial weight of 314. It had "clicked." I was told by my gynecologist that I had PCOS, which had explained my lack of cycles for 2 years, even when we tried to "force" cycles with hormones. I also had a family vacation coming up and was dreading taking an airplane and needing a seatbelt extender, as the last 2 flights I had taken were pretty tight.
I had "tried" to diet in the past, but nothing really serious. I would still have desserts every day with lunch, and would still eat fried chicken whenever it was offered, we would eat a whole large pizza once a week between the two of us at least, and never exercised. I thought my diet wasn't THAT bad, mostly because I only ate bad for lunches. As they say, Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
I have a lofty goal of a total of 140 lbs that I want to lose. I'm a big girl and I know that I will never be a stick figure, so 180 lb should be enough. I'm also teaching my 3 year old son healthy eating habits, though toddlers somehow live off of nothing but air and the energy of the universe. I hope to add exercise soon, but so far with Ideal Protein, I have done pretty well. On good weeks, I can lose 5 lb. On not so good weeks, I still lose 1-2 lb.
I saw a few posts with "goal" rewards, and I think that's a great idea... Here are my goals:
260 - Bubble bath
250 - Massage
235 - New work-out clothes + beach body program
225 - New work clothes - holdover until final weight
215 - Facial + massage
200 - Set up horseback riding!
GOAL - Tailored work clothes
