Weight train 5 days per week, no cardio.
Lost 24 pounds since July 1, 2014. Five more to go. I accomplished this with a Paleo food plan plus weight training.
I have pre-diabetes so this is my biggest concern right now. My mother was a full blown diabetic and suffered its horrors, including leg amputation and heart disease. She succumbed at the age of 77 in 2001. I do not want to follow down this same path. I am hoping that losing weight, exercising and avoiding starchy carbs will bring my A1C down into a better range. I recently had various blood tests to establish a starting point and plan to see my doctor again in 6 months for more blood work to evaluate progress.
