I have been doing very well, staying on program 100%. I joined a gym which is right across the street from my house. Membership included a trainer for two sessions (2-hours). I paid for an additional three sessions to get some instructions for using various machines and to develop an exercise program for me. Since I don't have a lot of time in the morning, I do my cardio before work and weights after work. When I first started, not having been on a treadmill or elliptical for quite some time, I could barely do 10-minutes. I'm up to 30 on the treadmill at 3.2 miles. I also use the incline.

Friday is my last session with my trainer. I considered adding more sessions but I really can't afford it right now. 7-sessions would cost about $266. Maybe after Christmas. But really, having a trainer is great, but it really has to be me in the long run. But he has been very helpful as far as routines to follow, foods to eat and vitamin/supplements to take. And he really kicked my butt. It was actually fun.

I have not been doing well. I tried to get back on program when I got back from the beach but never really did. I did for a while, actually lost what I had gain, but now have gained some of it back. I guess I could have done worse so I'm not going to beat myself up.

Yesterday, my daughter and I went to Monticello. It was extremely hot. We walked from the visitors center to the house. It was uphill. I felt like I was going to pass out. It made me think alot. There was a time, even when I was not at my healthiest weight, but about 40 lbs less than I am now, when I used to go hiking in the Shenandoah. It used to take hills pretty easily.

My daughter got really nervous and stressed watchig me struggle. I know it scares her. The thought that something will happen to me because I'm not taking care of myself.

So, I getting back on Fatsecret because it's the only time I'm successful. It makes me accountable to myself, if no one else. I hate feeling so awful. I know it depresses me, and then I eat to make myself feel better, only to feel worse. We all know the story. We all share it.
