I am 60 years old.
I am a diabetic and 230 lbs.
I am a couch potato.
I had a heart attack in 2009 and had two stents put in and no damage to my heart.
One year later I had another stent put in.
I have been on medicine for my diabetes for 5 months and still struggling to get to safe levels. I do not want to move around. I eat very healthy, but I have a hard time limiting myself to serving sizes of veggies. I did not want to accept that there are a lot of carbs in veggies.
I lost my job and we are on a very limited income, so it is hard to buy healthy food. I don't buy unhealthy but very limited on good stuff. I am not whinning, just being honest. I had to quit weight watchers which I liked. This site is my answer to my prayers. This week has already been great. I have done 3 low impact zumba songs, 3 time this week, walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes at 1/3 mph. I have just so much time to do what I have to do to get healthy and tired of wasting it.

Hello, to everyone, I hope I haven't started anything. I was just trying to give tips to help when quitting smoking. I really like apples with peanut butter for my sweet and when I cut the apple into small slices I dip it in the peanut butter, it makes me use my hand to my mouth to eat. It is a similar movement to the cigarette when smoking. I can not use regular peanut butter because I will use way too much, that is how much I like it. I use PB2 peanut butter powder. It is mixed with water to make a peanut butter paste and it is only 45 cal per 2 tbl. and 1.5g fat, 94mg sodium, 5 carbs. Very good on toast and my husband puts it in his oatmeal. I wish everyone the best and thank you for the tips I have received to help me on my journey to better health. They also make PB2 with chocolate. I now buy it at Walmart.Cool

Add a meal
Go ,on the right side of the food log, to the "add custom food" and input all the information. Hope this helps.

Yea!!! I quit 5 yrs ago after 40 years and best thing I ever did. Buy a lot of veggies and keep them around to grab. Peanut butter helps with the sweet cravings, it is good on the celery sticks and apples slices. The veggie sticks help with any hand to mouth withdrawal. Best of luck

Looking for someone to keep me accountable
Hey there, I just went to the exercise and put in light calisthenics. Each tape takes me about 5 min and if I do 2 in the am, 2 in afternoon and 2 in the evening. This comes up to 30 min and 188 cal burned. Works for me.Cool
