My name is Luke. I am a 24 year old from NE Ohio. I work as a COS Support Specialist for West Customer Management Group. I run reports and work with Microsoft Excel all day, which isn't a very active job. I have been over weight since I can remember. My mother always told me she made me big and strong to take care of her. She passed away in 2009 which caused me to gain ALLOT of weight ( I am an emotional eater). I quit drinking and smoking and am now ready to shed the pounds!! I joined a gym and do cardio 4 to 5 times a week! I enjoy music. I am a classically trained piano and trombone player. I love all types of music and enjoy attending live concerts. I like wood carving and swimming. I am a history buff and a politics junky. If you would like to know more about me or would like to exchange motivational advice, please contact me!

what did you control yourself from eating today that was sooo bad for you???
One word: Jiff Creamy Peanut Butter... I could eat an entire jar at one time if I could. Well, I can but I don't. I won't even touch the stuff any more. Occasionally I give in and have a LEVEL teaspoonful if I can't resist. I am not sure why I have SUCH a craving for it, but I sometimes literally lose SLEEP over it. LOL

Protein powder
I ended up buying Body Fortress Chocolate and Peanut Butter Super Advanced Whey Protein and the shaker. I was a little worried from the reviews but I have to say it is GREAT! It tastes yummy and actually satisfies my chocolate cravings... As long as you really shake it I haven't had the "sand" texture in my mouth. I mix it with skim milk or water for breakfast with some fruit and usually have it for a snack and after a workout. It is low in fat/cals/sugar and of course very high protein! It also satisfies my hunger. Like with anything, it is all about your personal needs and tastes preferences! Good Luck!

Protein powder
How about mix it in a water bottle (instead of milk) and shake it to really combine? I haven't tried it but I was just told that's the thing to do, especially after workouts! Also, I am told the chocolate tastes best. I am going to the vitamin shoppe today to get some! Good Luck! Either way, the protein will keep you full longer!

Calorie Intake
I did some research and found that my RMR (Resting Metobolic Rate) is: 4658 and my Daily Caloric Intake is: 3658. This seems CRAZZZZY to me! I have been eating between 1,500 and 2,000 calories per day and feeling GREAT! I never feel HUNGRY, just always content and full. I guess I am confused as to how it is recommended that I consume that many calories per day. I know I am a BIG GUY but what the heck!? Anyone have any ideas on what I should do? This is the most confusing part of my diet.
