I was always one of the "lucky" ones who had a high metabolism and didn't have to watch what they ate.
Well, at 31 following my son's birth, I went from a size 7 to about a size 10 and stayed there for quite some time...not fat mind you but the beginning of "the creep"....of pounds. Eight years after my son's birth, I went on the "divorce diet" and due to stress got back into my size 7 clothes....it was actually a blessing in disguise because I felt good about my body although everything else was going to hell.
Well, now I'm 50 and sucking in my gut to get into a size 14....enough is enough! So here I am and here we go .... on my Ketogenic life style adventure.
I have to say, it's an awesome way to eat because I don't like sweets to begin with and because I have a hearty appetite for a girl. I have no problem with eating bacon and eggs and losing weight AND getting healthy to boot. Since beginning my Keto journey, my blood pressure has gone down, acid reflux has stopped, I now sleep soundly and only require 5 or 6 hours of sleep, and I feel fantastic. Even if I wasn't losing weight, which I am...I would keep eating this way just because of how wonderful I feel.
