Fiber one bars at night?
if you are diabetic, low Gi helps regulate your blood sugar. kingkeld, what works for you doesn't necessarily work for another. Take note when people post, and if they have specific conditions, that means that certain foods can make those conditions better or worse. If you were totally lactose intolerant and someone said what you said, and had yogurt based on your advice, it wouldn't do them good at all. I think you post just to see yourself speak.

Could you possibly go to bed earlier? That would seem to eliminate two problems at the same time.
Low GI is best for diabetics. In fact, it was developed for diabetic people. Google Low GI sites (Glycaemic Index).
Avocados are excellent. They have 0 sugar.

The Benefits of Eggs

Eggs are nutritionally dense and a very good addition to any diet. They contain selenium, choline, vitamin B12, riboflavin and iron, as well as many other nutrients. Eggs also contain antioxidants that can help to fight cancer as well as the signs of aging. Chickens that are raised in a natural environment and fed a diet that is less concerned with the shelf life of eggs and more concerned with the health of the chicken, tend to provide eggs with a higher nutritional value. Try to buy eggs that are verified cage free, or free range.
The protein in egg whites is very easily utilized by the body, and is considered one of the best forms of natural protein available. It is often used by body builders or athletes as a source of protein, as it provides a high ratio of protein to calories with very little to no fat.
While eggs are not free of cholesterol, eating them does not raise cholesterol levels or increase the chances of heart disease. Eggs are a good addition to a healthy diet and can provide many benefits to those who eat them.

picnic foods 4 low carb low cal diets?
I don't agree with Darin. Keep up the motivation and good work. You might even influence some of the others. To follow your own diet doesn't mean it is boring-tasting and somehow less than the other people's.
Remember. Food is always there, It won't go away. What you don't eat now, you can ALWAYS eat later, once you reach whatever goal you have.
Stick with it, you can do it.
I see many people's diary entries on this site who have "special occasions". Afterwards they can kick themselves. It's much harder to get back on the wagon once you're off it, than just to continue.
There is plenty of delicious options for low carb-high protein-low cal.
Stay strong.
P.S. My ticker doesn't work. I am much further along.

Avocado. Make a HUGE salad: tomato, cucumber, avo, lettuce, mushrooms (you can braise the mushrooms and tomatoes beforehand, makes them more palatable if you don't like them raw), olives, covered in vinaigrette: olive oil, vinegar, little salt, little sugar, pepper, can add a bit of the olive liquid, herbs like basil and oregano. Only add the vinaigrette at the picnic, otherwise it will all be mulchy.
I f you want, add some feta cheese.
