Day 1. I've never used a dieting forum, attended group meetings or recorded my calories, so I think this site will be good for me. Some accountability! At 5'8, my nomal body weight wants to be around 160. I'm very disciplined with food because I like to stay around 145. About 1.5 years ago I got down to 138 and stayed there until the numbers began to creep up and up over the last 6 months. My biggest problem has been calories from alcohol. I have 4 kids, 1 husband and a very demanding career that involves social drinking and travel. A 750 ml bottle of Absolut has about 1700 calories, the same as 4.5 Snickers. I would Never eat that much candy.I hope that calorie journals will help me in a big way. The numbers don't lie! And I need to see them. Going on a trip in 2 weeks. I'd really like to lose a few pounds before I leave.
