Whew, I've been MIA since the holidays. I didn't want to get on a scale til knew with 100% certainty it was back to where I wanted it to be!! I'm a bit of a cheater, I realize this, but once I feel disheartened it's a slippery slope back into fat. I started up a bit of a hilarious duo of exercise regimes-the first is Wii Fitness, and it actually kicked my butt in muscle exercise and core training. The other is Carmen Electra's striptease vids, which also are surprisingly difficult if you do them correctly and treat them like a proper work out!! Can't wait for the snow to clear so I get get back to playing tennis, until then goofy vids and virtual games will have to do!

Went completely MIA for a bit. After my 25th birthday I could feel a weight gain in all my pants and simply didn't weigh in until I was more than sure I had dropped back down! Cheating? Yes. Delightful way to stay temporarily in denial? Definitely. But I'm back on track and feeling good and looking to stay strong through the upcoming holidays!!

Whew! First week very nearly completed and I've rocked myself down another 3lb! I picked up tennis these last couple weeks and I think being shockingly talentless is actually helping the cause-the vast majority of the time is spent with me chasing the rebel balls all around the court. And sometimes completely outside of the court. And sometimes all the way into the parking lot. Like I said...SHOCKINGLY talentless! :-)
My friends (both in MI and online) are all behind me on my efforts to the newer, healthier me, and I'm loving it! They've loaned me books (which I have yet to read), offered to join gyms with me (which I have yet to join), and have been just awesome in general. I'm going out tonight for my first clubbing experience on the diet...but I've done a bit of research and memorized all the drinks under 3 carbs and 75 calories and have limited myself to 2. Maybe 3. Vodka and Sugar-Free Red Bull, here I come!

This is my first week on fatsecret.com, but not my first week on the diet! I actually started off when I hit the 240 mark and my double chin and ghost baby were prominent in every photo I took. Even in winter clothing. Even in the dark. I think being tall and being able to 'hide' my weight was a serious downfall and I simply let it spiral way, WAY out of control.
Anyway, I'm here now, down 18lb from my heaviest, and diving in to the South Beach Diet. I wanna eventually get down to 160lb-a weight that used to be easily maintained by me. Wish me luck! Give me support!
