My diabetes is getting out of control. Starting today I am going on a low carb diet. I don't have any set carb number yet. Any suggestions for anything that can help me lose weight and get my diabetes under control would be very appreciated.

Restarting diet today. Doctor appointment on October 9th,2012 showed my A1C was 7.7. Am on Januvia and Glimepiride and a 50 unit shot per day. Doctor had told me before to go on a diet of low carb/low GI. I asked her at this appointment to give me an idea of how many carbs a day for right now till sugar is more in control and she told me 60 plus I showed a high allergy count for milk. So starting my own diet today of 60 grams of net carbs and a no milk diet today.

Restarting my diet and focusing on the no milk part for now then will focus on the diabetic part. From there I think I can do more low carb and low glycemic like my doctor wants me to do.

Restarting AGAIN lol. This time doing low carb with no milk. Later will try to incorporate low glycemic and would like to eventually go vegan.
