I'm a 44 year old adoptive mom to two awesome kiddos, age 8 and 9. I have been doing Atkins or very low carb on and off for some time now.

When I am doing it, I feel GREAT! IT takes me 2-3 weeks to get into a good groove. I've also added jogging by using the 0-10k ap on my phone. Mind you, I'm asthmatic so I'm not going to break any records, but it boosts my fat loss, and makes me feel proud and strong.

My Mom is my inspiration. She has become healthy (off all medicines) and had great results with low carbing. She shares recipes, gives me ideas, and shows me what is possible. She recently went through major spinal surgery that forced her to be sedentary. After resting and a recovery period, she got right back into low carbing with so much dedication that it truly motivates me. She's amazing.

I have a weight and fitness goal that I know I can reach because I've done it before. Once I get there, I will reassess. My dream is to run a 5k without stopping. My goal is to truly make this our lifestyle in terms of eating mainly because I have so much more energy and feel so much better when I have no sugars and limited carbs. :)
